MBARC Visit To ARRL Headquarters And W1AW

Outing Date: Thursday, March 20
Meeting Time and Place: 8 am, Fishkill Walmart parking lot.
We’ll take some group photos and make any necessary car
assignments before departing for ARRL. We are planning to arrive
before 10 am to give us ample time for our visit.
As discussed at the January in-person meeting, driving and carpooling
seems to be the most practical and affordable means of transportation.
Travel time is 1.5 to 2 hours.
Admission: No charge. You do not have to be a licensed ham or ARRL
member to visit. You can bring a non-MBARC member guest with you.
If we have more than 10 in our party, we may be divided into 2 groups.
If you wish to operate on W1AW you must have your amateur radio
license, or a copy of it, with you. There is a store on-site selling ARRL
merchandise.
Lunch: after the tour some are planning to meet at nearby Yannis
Pizzeria and Restaurant.
